I started Mad Sass Soap Co in 2018 as a way to find skincare that wouldn't inflame my twins' sensitive eczema-prone skin. Late at night, while my daughters slept, I researched ingredients and perfected small-batch recipes tailored to my family’s needs. My first recipes became a staple with my friends and family, and I knew this project was the start of something big. I continued to refine my recipes, grew a wonderful community, and the rest is history!

In 2020, after two years of selling out at local markets, I decided to open up my own shop in a quiet corner of Portland called Multnomah Village. Right as we signed the lease, the world shut down with COVID-19 and all of my plans suddenly were uncertain. Despite this, I was able to build a small team and found a safe way to welcome customers and keep production moving. Six years later, we've built an amazing community and started expanding our storefronts, opening a store in Lake Oswego in 2024 and Sunriver in 2025. Today, you can find Mad Sass products in luxury hotels, grocery stores, and boutiques nationwide. We can't wait to see what's next!
