I started Mad Sass Soap Co in 2018 as a way to find skincare that wouldn't inflame my twins sensitive eczema-prone skin. I started working in my basement once my twins went to sleep, and spent hours researching finding the perfect combination of ingredients that would fit my family's needs. Through a lot of reading, experimentation, and long nights, I finally refined and perfected my recipes to be soothing, hydrating, and nourishing for even the most delicate skin types. 

In 2020, after two years of selling out at local markets, I decided to open up my own shop in a quiet corner of Portland called Multnomah Village. Right as we signed the lease, the world shut down with COVID-19 and all of my plans suddenly were uncertain. Despite this, I was able to build a small team and found a safe way to welcome customers and keep production moving. Four years later, we've built an amazing community and officially opened our second storefront in Lake Oswego in 2024. We can't wait to see what's next!
